DING DONG!
Thousands of door bells all across the world are ringing with each passing second. Men and woman are answering the call with a smile and a large bowl of treats. Eager kids wait below the strangers, trying to sneak a peak at the candy before it hits the bottom of their sack. We can see a few of these kids on this barren road laid out before us. Little ghost and goblins dart back and forth between the street in and out of door steps. All with a smile and parent tagging along. The Moon lights their dance as The Roy watches from a stoop several yards away from all the action. His house holds no lights or any sign of life. His Cowboy hat deflects the moon from splashing onto his face. He watches with a slight sense of discontent.
The same damn thing every year. The same damn kids, the same damn outfits. These kids, with no care in the world beam with joy from house to house. Something so pointless, causes so much joy to their little hearts. I only wish I could say I had something like that in my life. All these kids have something they've spent time and money on to be. Witches, Vampires, Pumpkins. Whatever it may be, I admire them. They at least have something to smile for. On this one night there dreams are coming true with very little effort.
The Roy looks up at the stars, seemingly searching.
What I wish to be, is not sold in any store. It can't be made of fabric from hand me downs. No. What I want, is to be remembered. I want all of mankind to know my name years after I've reached my final resting place. Something that is going to take a long long time to achieve. These kids don't realize how good they have it. They've already lived there day of wonder and amazement, then get home and whine about the penny's or the healthy food in their collection of colorful sugar. Not realizing how hard it is for people like me who still can't even see the front door yet. Here now in LOE, I have my opportunity to become a legacy. I now have my chance to become remembered as the greatest performer of my sorts. An athlete, an entertainer, a realist. Alot of my words may reach your ears and go no further. But for others who need more out of life than just a cheap thrill every once in a while, I know what I say will settle onto your heart. I invite those people to watch me this week on LOE. Watch as I have yet another body, laid before me and just as quickly put to rest. My opponent this week, dressed up as The Roy. Myself. Even he has something that he aspires to be. Unfortunately for him this week I will have to show him exactly why he will never, NOT EVER, be The Roy. He will never be able to sit on my pinnacle and watch others below me as I do. John Morrison, despite his antics, will never be anything close to the figure that I am. As long as people like him are at the door when I answer the bell, my legacy will never reach an end. I'm leagues ahead of him, and leagues above everyone else in this business, which brings me to Raven. The biggest freak in this whole carnival. I don't know exactly why you did what you did last week, but I can promise that it will not go unpunished...I invite even you Raven. Along with all these people in the streets, and all the people in their homes. Watch me this week as I build my legacy. Maybe then you'll be inspired to buy a costume of your own, with your own meaning. Something that means as much to you, as my legacy means to me....
To these heart felt words, the camera fades to black.
